When you copy text on a webpage, the extension may temporarily read that clipboard content to store it in your clipboard history.

Only text that you copy is stored


The extension stores up to the most recent 20 copied items


All clipboard data is stored locally using chrome.storage.local


Clipboard data never leaves your device

All data used by Smart Clipboard Manager is stored locally in your browser.

The extension uses a limited set of permissions required for its core functionality:

Used to store your clipboard history locally in the browser.

clipboardRead
Used to detect the text you copy so it can be saved to your clipboard history.

clipboardWrite
Used when you click the copy button in the extension to place a saved item back into your clipboard.

These permissions are used only for the features described and for no other purpose.
